Why do I fold paper...

It's relaxing. It's a habit that is hard to get rid of, a habit that has me looking at tinfoil and napkins and other assorted pieces of paper in a completely different light. I remember the first orgami model I made, after the classic paper crane, of course: it was a T-Rex from a book of dinosaur origami. I was hooked from that point on.

Everybody starts out in orgami by copying the models of others, but sooner or later, we all start tinkering around and coming up with our own developments. In my case, once I got to trying harder models, I usually just couldn't keep up with the instructions and had to improvise. But eventually, I began grabbing paper squares with the express intent to come up with something new. A couple of those improvisations became models that actually somewhat resemble real-life objects and characters (most end up torn and scrunched up beyond recognition). I'll be posting the instructions to those here. Hope you enjoy them!
